A pair of Adam Lallana’s England football boots formed one of the most recognisable links between the game and the new Football Lodge South West.

Designed for an England career

The approved Consecration account records that Adam was selected for the England senior team in September 2013 and made his debut against Chile at Wembley that November. After his call-up, he worked with Puma on a design created for his international career.

Four pairs were made to the same design, using shades of grey and blue with the England flag, St George and the Dragon, and his squad number 20. The programme records that the design accompanied him through his 34 England appearances, in which he scored three goals.

World Cup and European Championship

The boots were worn during the 2014 World Cup in Brazil and Euro 2016 in France. In 2016, the year Adam was named England’s Player of the Year, he also scored a late World Cup qualifying winner against Slovakia.

A link between Lodge and game

David Lallana, the Primus Master of Football Lodge No. 9921, donated the boots to the new Lodge. Their place in the founding display created a direct connection between an England career, the Mother Lodge and the football heritage that Football Lodge South West was beginning to build.
