Consecration

Football Lodge South West No. 10063 was consecrated at Torquay United Football Club, Plainmoor, on Wednesday 4 June 2025.

The day brought together football, fellowship and the traditions of Freemasonry as 31 founders began a new Lodge for Devon, Cornwall and Somerset.

The beginning of No. 10063

The ceremony formally brought the new Lodge into being and marked the beginning of Devonshire’s first truly themed Lodge.

Creating a Lodge begins long before Consecration day. A founding group must establish the support, commitment and goodwill needed for the Lodge to grow, submit a formal petition and receive a warrant.

Football Lodge No. 9921, the sponsor and Mother Lodge, provided inspiration and support as Football Lodge South West prepared to begin its own story.

The new Lodge brought together a shared enthusiasm for football with the friendship, service and fellowship of Freemasonry. It was a kick-off: the start of a Lodge intended to grow, welcome new members and contribute to its community.
